Charting the visual history of death, burial/cremation in Liverpool’s private/public cemeteries over the course of three centuries this innovative new course documents the surprising changes to private and public attitudes to death in Liverpool beginning with creation of Liverpool Necropolis (now Grant Gardens) in Everton, and on via the development of St. James’ Cemetery at the bottom of St. James’ Mount, the cemeteries of Toxteth Park, Anfield & etc.
