In this module students will explore Graeco-Roman texts that display the life of women in Ancient Greece and Rome. They will learn about the expectations and duties of a woman in antiquity, but will also meet some women who thought 'out of the box' and were not afraid to show their passions and chase their dreams. All texts are in translation and the selection covers mythology, literature (prose and poetry), and private letters.
