To mark this, a Celebratory symposium entitled “cryoEM revolution in structural biology’ is organised on 16th July 2025 at the University of Liverpool. This one day symposium would bring speakers from Universities of Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Imperial and Birkbeck as well as from the Crick Institute and Astex Pharmaceuticals. Dr Henderson has received several prizes including the Gregori Aminoff prize for Crystallography from Royal Swedish Academy (1999); Copley Medal from the Royal Society (2016); Gjonnes medal in electron crystallography from the International Union of Crystallography (2017), Nobel Prize for Chemistry (2017) and Companion of Honour (2018). Attendance to the symposium is strictly by registration. Due to limited space, early registration is encouraged. Those requiring accommodation may avail a discounted University rate (for the first 20 rooms) at the Novotel Hotel (5 minutes’ walk from the Life Sciences Building where the symposium would be held) using the code:cryoEM revolution.
