Course Description

Advances in the understanding and assessment of pain, plus ever-more practical methods of providing analgesia means we have more options that ever, but also more to think about. Selecting the most appropriate anaesthetic plan for a variety of different presentations requires a case-based understanding of physiology and pharmacology.

Designed for vets working in primary care practice, this one-day course will teach the principles of anaesthesia and analgesia for our small animal patients using lectures and case-based group work.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop a theoretical and practical understanding ofthe provision of analgesia in small animal patients.
  • Assess an individual patient's needs and health status to allow appropriate creation of an anaesthesic plan

Practice implementation of both of the above via case-based group work.

Speakers
