ECVPH Pre-Conference Workshop: 10-11th September 2024Info Location Contact More Info Event Information![]()
DescriptionECVPH Pre-Conference Workshop - Introduction to veterinary qualitative research workshop (Tuesday 10th Sept - Wednesday Sept 11th) This two day in-person only event will be lead by Dr Tamzin Furtado and Dr Becky Smith. Qualitative research has the potential to provide insight into the human factors which contribute to public health issues, yet this approach is used far less frequently than quantitative methods. Qualitative data explores human experience in order to understand why people behave the ways they do, the values they hold, and what influences their behaviour. However, the principles and practices of qualitative research are often misunderstood by those more familiar with quantitative methods; for example, concerns may relate to the small sample sizes, generalisability of results, and quality assurance. NB Lunch and refreshment breaks will be included. An evening meal on the 11th will be organised, for those who would like to attend, but it is not included in the price.
