Transcripts, Diploma Supplements and HEARs are variations of an official document of your academic history. It lists the titles and marks of the modules you studied in each academic year. It gives your period of registration as a student, your degree/award date and classification/overall grade. You may need this document for employment, further education or emigration purposes.

It is not possible for students to request additional information to be included on their document eg. syllabus – Transcripts, Diploma Supplements and HEARs are University published documents that conform to the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications for/in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (FHEQ).

In terms of which document you are eligible for, this depends on when you graduated with us and what type of qualification you were awarded. Please read the below guidance.

Pre July 2016-graduates

If you graduated with us before July 2016, please use the options at the bottom of this page to place an order for your hard copy document – this will either be a transcript or a diploma supplement, we’ll ensure that the applicable document is provided to you.

If your order is being posted overseas, we strongly recommend that you add DHL delivery to ensure that your document reaches its destination. Some overseas post is unable to reach its destination when sent via standard mail, in some instances the post is lost, or returned to us, both potentially leading to delays in you receiving your documents.

July 2016 onwards graduates

We are unable to provide hard copy documents to those students who have graduated since July 2016, this is because the University made a change to begin providing electronic documents instead of hard copies.

July 2016 to July 2018 graduates

For those who graduated between July 2016 and July 2018, you will have been issued with a PDF version of the Higher Education Achievement report (HEAR) after your graduation. To obtain a replacement copy of your PDF HEAR please place an order PDF HEAR July 2016 to July 2018 graduates

December 2018 onwards graduates

For graduates from December 2018 onwards, you are issued with an e-HEAR (electronic transcript) via our secure Graduate Document Portal upon your Graduation, for access and further information about sharing your document with third parties, please visit the Graduate Document Portal login page and FAQ section.

Current students

If you are a current student still undertaking your studies, to obtain a transcript please use our Official transcript request (current students) for a PDF transcript. This PDF version should be sufficient for your purposes, it is watermarked and has our official digital signatures, however, you can order a hard copy version below if you need to.
