Description

Thanks to the influence of contemporary artists such as Banksy, street art has, since the early 2000s become an increasingly accepted part of modern urban life and living. This course, the first of its kind to seek out and document the countless examples of paintings and pasteups peppering 21st Century Liverpool is designed to serve as an introduction to the subject and contextualises recent developments in contemporary art-world practices that have allowed street artists to thrive, often without any formal artistic training. This course will intrigue anyone with an interest in Liverpool, social history, art and politics, as well as Liverpool FC.

Please note that the ‘last booking’ date is only a guide. We reserve the right to close bookings earlier if courses are over- or under-subscribed. In order to avoid disappointment, please be sure to enrol as soon as possible. Registrations may not be processed until the following day if received after 3pm.
