Description

For centuries past the Port of Liverpool has traditionally welcomed peoples of all faiths and belief systems from all over the world. This course seeks to explore the multitudinous variety of Liverpool based paintings, sculptures, artefacts and articles associated with the ideal of spiritual and/or communal worship. Taking a holistic and inclusive approach materials studied will include aspects of so-called pagan faiths and the chief world religions such as Christianity, Mohammedanism, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. It will appeal to anybody with an interest in Liverpool history, art, architecture, spirituality, social history and is not, in any way, intended to be didactic.

Please note that the ‘last booking’ date is only a guide. We reserve the right to close bookings earlier if courses are over- or under-subscribed. In order to avoid disappointment, please be sure to enrol as soon as possible. Registrations may not be processed until the following day if received after 3pm.
