Equine Anaesthesia

The course will provide insights into triage and stabilisation of equine emergencies that are commonly seen in equine practice. 

The morning lectures will provide a practical approach to equine blood transfusion in the field, and strategies for stabilisation of a critical patient for travel.  The practical session in the afternoon will allow delegates to develop an approach to ultrasound of the acute abdomen and thorax. In the afternoon we will have a panel discussion for disaster management with a range of surgical and medical specialists. We will finish the day with a talk from a doctor to provide us with insights into human emergency and critical care.

Course Description
