Description

This international Spring School is targeted at young researchers (PhD students and researchers, academics, practitioners within 5 years of PhD graduation) working on current actuarial science topics.

Societal Impacts of Actuarial Research
The climate crisis, social inequalities, increased life expectancy and artificial intelligence are just some of the challenges facing our societies today. These challenges are multiplying all the time. To meet them, an understanding of the risks surrounding us and their implications is essential. Innovative solutions are needed to improve the management of such risks. This is why the 2025 edition of PARTY would like to advocate for research aiming to better manage some of these important risks current societies are facing.

Young researchers across disciplines, such as actuarial science, demography, insurance, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, biology and economics are encouraged to participate, present and freely discuss among each other their most relevant questions in their specific fields. Invited experts from academia and practice will be available for feedback and will provide opening and closing remarks.
