Course Description

The topic will be zoonotic diseases of concern in small animal practice and emerging vector-borne diseases in the UK. This will be an interactive session (be prepared to use Poll Everywhere). We will begin by covering Bartonella, Leishmania, Leptospirosis and Brucella in people, with veterinary case examples. We will then cover Babesia, Ehrlichia and Leishmania in dogs. Henry is from South Africa, the home of Babesia research, and has more first-hand experience dealing with the condition in dogs than many small animal veterinarians in the UK. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions.

Henry Cloete, Resident, Small Animal Internal Medicine

Kaitlin Turnball, Resident, Small Animal Internal Medicine

Buffet and refreshments will be provided. If you have any specific dietary requirements please email [email protected]
