He graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Leeds and a PhD from the University of Liverpool.
He has presented his work in the UK House of Commons, published a book on sustainable design, has written numerous research papers and published book chapters with, for example, the University of Cambridge. He is not a traditional "academic" and has spent the majority of his working career in industry, having worked for the European Commission, Ricardo, Arup, KPMG and EY.
During the past 25 years he has designed Net Zero strategies for the likes of HP, KFC, AB InBev, England Golf, EasyJet, Volkswagen, Crown Estate, Grosvenor, Peel, US Department of Energy, UK Government. He currently works as an Associate Professor of sustainable design at the University of Liverpool, where he leads the Zero Carbon Research Initiative. In addition, he acts as MD of a sustainability and carbon consultancy named PNZ Advisory He is an Internal EPD verifier and sector specialist in sustainable construction and business. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
