Course Description
Forage Walks
Foraging ForAges will be leading guided foraging walks at Ness Botanic Gardens
Sam is a professional forager and has been leading guided forays since 2017.
Having always loved the outdoors and nature she found her calling passing on her wealth of wild food knowledge.
The walk will last around 3 hours, Sam will guide you around the gardens, showing you the best edible plants and mushrooms the season has to offer. Sam will talk you through how to safely identify each species, how to sustainably harvest, and the best ways to use each ingredient in the kitchen. Sam will bring along some of her home made samples for you to try.
After the walk you’ll receive a follow up email with a list of what we found.
The walk will be aimed at adults, however interested children are welcome to attend, we would recommend over 8 years and above. They would need to reserve a space on the walk too.
