Additional ItemsContactDr Xu Dai's email address: xu.dai@liverpool.ac.uk https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/people/xu-dai This CPD particularly welcomes the individuals who are from Fire Service, Building Control, or professionals who have an engineering degree but would like to upskill their knowledge to fire safety engineering. This CPD is designed to improve those professionals with better confidence to carry out a review of fire engineering solutions. During each session, ‘hands-on’ interactive calculation tutorials for real-life fire/building design challenges will be exercised, to ensure each attendee absorbs the knowledge with an acceptable pace. Hence, we will limit the intake to 15 students only.
This CPD is led by Dr Xu Dai, who was also the programme director of Fire Safety Engineering degree apprenticeship at Birmingham City University between 2022 - 2024. His previous experience on bridging the fire knowledge to industry practitioners (who don’t have a fire degree), will ensure the successful delivery of this 5-day CPD training.
