Course Description

The programme begins with a focus on the non-pregnant mare, exploring the management of challenging reproductive cycles, problem mares, and surgical interventions to improve fertility. In the second week, attention turns to the endometrium, including a live, case-based Teams discussion on the interpretation and application of endometrial culture and cytology in mares with endometritis.

The third week considers the pregnant mare, covering pregnancy complications, monitoring of high-risk pregnancies, and their clinical management. This is followed by a case-based Teams session examining common periparturient emergencies.

The final week provides a review of recent broodmare-focused research, discussing its relevance to everyday clinical practice, together with key highlights and take-home messages from recent international reproductive medicine conferences

Designed specifically for experienced practitioners, this module combines current evidence, practical case discussions, and expert insight to support clinical decision-making throughout the breeding season.
