Equine Anaesthesia

In November 2026, we will be offering the Equine Practice Essentials Mini-Module, designed for recently qualified veterinary surgeons and those returning to practice after a career break who wish to refresh and strengthen their knowledge of common conditions encountered in equine ambulatory practice. Over four weeks, participants will develop their clinical knowledge, practical skills and decision-making abilities in the investigation, diagnosis and management of everyday cases seen in ambulatory equine work.

Course Description

This fully online CPD mini-module provides 25 hours of learning delivered through a blend of online lectures, discussion boards, weekly MCQ assessments and two live case-based Teams sessions. Designed to be engaging, interactive and clinically relevant, the course supports participants in building confidence and applying evidence-based approaches to practice. In addition, participants will benefit from access to the University of Liverpool Online Library until mid-July 2027, allowing easy access to research to support their ongoing professional development.

For those considering a CertAVP through the University of Liverpool, this course provides a great taster of the online module environment.

Cost: £435

The course is taught and tutored by Liverpool and other external veterinary specialists, following a similar format to the University of Liverpool’s CertAVP modules.  With online lectures, discussion boards and weekly MCQ tests designed to help support your learning this short Equine mini-module will provide a fun and interactive way to ensure you keep up to date in your area of interest.
