Course Description

The first quantitative research methods module (Epidemiology and Statistics for Public Health 1, studied in semester 1) introduced epidemiological research and statistical methods, covering key concepts and the main types of epidemiological study designs. This second module (Epidemiology and Statistics for Public Health 2) builds on this introduction, consolidates the key ideas, and introduces regression and other statistical methods such as survival analysis required for more advanced analyses. The module also explores some more applied epidemiological concepts and important contemporary methods such as systematic reviews and meta- analysis.
