Course Description

‘Seeming, seeming!…I’ll tell the world aloud/What man thou art’.

A corrupt magistrate, a monstrous ransom, weakness in authority and a bed trick all form part of the strange world of 'Measure For Measure'. What is justice? Who should administer it? What price chastity? Where is mercy? All these questions will be addressed in our Saturday session on this beguiling problem play.

The day will be divided into sections: tutor-led presentation, class discussion, interactive text work, and short screenings.

No prior experience is required, so do join Kate and David for another in their ever-popular 'Shakespeare on the Couch' series.
