Course Description

If the mere mention of cranial nerves makes your blood run cold – fear not. This is a very practical and pragmatic course to help you make the use of some very basic skills to gain a greater insight into a case presented before you, with neurology signs, in first opinion practice.

This one-day workshop will set out to develop your skills in diagnosis and therapeutic approach to most aspects of neurology. We will discuss how to assess and localise neurological conditions in companion animals from a practical point of view, as well as how to manage them. A special focus will be given to emergency cases and how best to deal with them in general practice. The course will be a combination of seminars and interactive case-based discussions. Delegates are invited to bring videos or imaging findings of cases they would like to discuss.

This workshop is suitable for vets in first opinion practice wishing to refresh and improve their skills in deciphering neurology signs and would be of particular interest to those working towards an RCVS CertAVP in Emergency care or Medicine.
