Course Description

Overview:

This seminar is suitable for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Radiographers, Emergency Department Practitioners and Orthopaedic Specialist Trainees and undergraduates in each profession. It aims to equip clinicians with an up to date evidence-based approach to managing proximal humeral fractures.

Mr Kent’s practiceincludes trauma and upper limb injuries and condition management. He will provide a comprehensive guide to the clinical reasoning, assessment and management of proximal humeral fractures from the orthopaedics surgeon’s perspective.

Katy Clay’s practice includes the initial and on-going management of proximal humeral fractures. She will present a comprehensive guide to the physiotherapeutic assessment and management of patients with proximal humeral fractures including managing common complications and care pathways.
