Course Description

Course speakers: Dr Norah Flannigan – Senior Clinical Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics

Course requirements:

To be accepted onto this course, candidates must:

  • Hold current GDC Dental Nurse registration
  • Have an up to date BLS certificate
  • Hold Professional Indemnity Cover
  • Have written confirmation from a supervising dentist that they take responsibility for overseeing the nurses training in the workplace.

*Proof of the above will be a requirement prior to attending the course*


Course Objectives

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

·         Explain the principles and clinical uses of digital clinical photography.
·         Use a digital camera to record clinical photographs.
·         Identify methods of storage, manipulation and presentation of clinical images.
·         Explain the need for consent to capture, store and use images appropriately
