The course is aimed at Paediatric Dentists and Endodontists who would like to develop their skills in managing children with special endodontic needs. The course is also open for all dentists with a special interest in this area.

Course Description

Aim: To provide an update on recent advances in Endodontics, including the management of immature permanent teeth. The course will provide hands on teaching on the use and application of the dental microscope and rotary instruments. Also it will cover teaching on root end closure of immature permanent teeth using a range of materials, including thermal obturation and restorations of endodontically treated teeth, using fibre posts and the latest composite techniques.

 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the event delegates will be able to:

·         Describe the recent development in the field of endodontics and its application on management of children with endodontic needs.

·         Operate a microscope for use during endodontic procedures.

·         Employ the use of rotary instruments to aid canal preparation.

·         Manage non-vital immature incisors using the latest developments in this field.

·         Obturate endodontically treated teeth using the latest techniques

·         Restore endodontically treated teeth using fibre posts and composite.
