IMPRESSION TAKING FOR DENTAL NURSES - 21 JULY 2017

Time: 9:30 am to 4:00pm - 9:00am to 9:30am Arrival, Registration & Coffee

Course Co-ordinator: Dr Sophie Desmons - Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry

The aim of this course is to enable registered dental nurses to learn about the background of impression taking and undertake an accurate dentate impression under the prescription of a dentist, in a wide range of applications including bleaching trays, study models and mouth guards.

Course requirements - To be accepted onto this course, candidates must:

  • be GDC Registered Dental Nurses
  • have a current BLS certificate
  • have Professional Indemnity cover
  • have written confirmation from a supervising dentist that they take responsibility for overseeing the nurses training in the workplace.

 *Proof of the above will be a requirement prior to attending the course*

To develop a logical and predictable approach to endodontics, using modern endodontic techniques. The course will help participants develop a better understanding of modern endodontic techniques, by having an improved knowledge and hands on experience in the practical sessions
