Description

The 2017 RENKEI PAX Workshop: Emancipating the Mind: History, Politics and Heritage’ is taking place in Liverpool in August. The workshop will have a mixture of public and academic components and will take place this August around the Slavery Remembrance Day celebrations (17-26 August). It is funded by the British Council and is a collaboration with Ritsumeikan University and its Museum of World Peace (Kyoto), looking at themes of memory, slavery and empire among other topics.

Accommodation is available to delegates attending the RENKEI Workshop.

En-suite Bedrooms at Vine Court are available from Monday 16th August to Saturday 26th August 2017, inclusive.

Vine Court Residences is located on the City Centre Campus and are a 5 minute walk from the conference venue.

Residence Information:

  • Accommodation is an en-suite double bedroom and includes bed linen, towels, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. (No Twin or Family bedrooms available)
  • Check In Time 16.00hrs (luggage room facility available if required)
  • Check Out Time 09.30 hrs - a late check out penalty will be charged
  • All building on University campus are non smoking.
  • Minimum age of 12 years, if accompanied by an adult sharing a double bedroom (No children under the age of 12 years)
  • No parking available at Vine Court.  Parking is available at University Visitor Car Parks on a first come first served basis.
  • Accommodation is located on Myrtle Street and is a 10 minute walk into the City Centre. A regular bus service runs along this route.
