The STFC UK Nuclear Physics Summer School is a biannual, two-week residential school where first and second-year PhD students are exposed to forefront ideas in all areas of Nuclear Physics. This year the school will be held in Queen's University Belfast from 21 August-2 September 2017.  Registration is free for STFC-funded students, but it is open to overseas students at a fee that covers accommodation and local expenses. We expect about 50-60 student delegates.

The school is delivered by internationally leading researchers and supported by Early Career Researcher tutors. The School will provide training on theoretical, experimental and applied Nuclear Physics from world-leading experts, as well as tutorials, an opportunity to present the student’s research and a careers and public engagement session. There will be ample time for extracurricular activities as well, including an excursion.
