Description

Vision, relying on light, is perhaps the most important of all the senses. This course will discuss our present understanding of light from atoms, molecules and stars, light sources such as street lamps MRI imagers, LEDs, and light detectors. We will discuss their remarkable range of applications in medicine, science and engineering, improving the quality of life greatly for all.  This short course includes hands-on experiments and visits to laser and physics laboratories at the University of Liverpool.
