Description

This course offers an insight into the methods professional astronomers use to explore the Universe. Using basic maths and computer software, we will look at how astronomers study various phenomena in space. Some knowledge of GCSE maths or equivalent would be an advantage. It would also be useful to have taken the companion course 'Introduction to Astronomy' before taking this one, though this is not essential. The course also includes a trip to the Planetarium at the World Museum, Liverpool.
