Description

Britain has some of the most varied geology in the world and this is reflected in the diverse landscapes as you travel from north to south and east to west.  From the mountains formed by the oldest rocks to the gently rolling hills and flat lands formed on the youngest rocks.  Superimposed on the geology are the effects of the last two million years of extreme climate change and the influence of man.  Through illustrated talks and field visits this course will make the British landscape come to life.
