Electricity and magnetism are essential in our everyday lives. James Clerk Maxwell found that these two phenomena, along with the properties of light, can be described by a single mathematical framework, electromagnetism. This course will demonstrate the experiments undertaken by Michael Faraday, which show the relationship between electricity and magnetism. Any mathematics will be developed during the course. No prior knowledge of physics or mathematics is required. Prior attendance on ‘Introduction to Classical Mechanics’ is recommended.
