We welcome anyone over the age of 16. For most courses, there are no entrance requirements.
If you are interested in language courses and are not sure which level to select, our CE self-assessment grid for languages, which can be found on our website, can help you to gauge the most appropriate course for you.
If a course is full or has to be cancelled, we will always inform you as quickly as possible. If a course is cancelled because of low numbers, a full refund will be given to all enrolled students. Refunds will be identified on bank and credit/debit card statements as being from the University of Liverpool.
If a student wishes to withdraw from a course, a written application for a refund must be received by the CE Office a minimum of 7 days before the course start date.
No refunds will be issued after this date. All refunds are subject to an administrative charge of 10% of the relevant fee
Very occasionally students find they need to transfer to a different course. This happens most frequently in languages when the chosen study level is not the most appropriate for a student’s prior knowledge.
All course transfers must take place within the 3 weeks of the 1st session and are at the discretion of the course lecturer. This is particularly important in language courses to allow for the ongoing assessment of coursework.
Transfers can only be made for good reason and with the agreement of course lecturers.
